Winter Begins To Visit In November
Written by: Scott Hetsko
Although still entirely an Autumn month on the calendar, November weather can be wintry in Western New York. Colder air grows to our North and the Jetstream begins to send that air South, usually by mid to late month. Our average snowfall is about 7" but Rochester's record snow for November is 24.9" set in 1996! In 137 years of record keeping, we've never seen a subzero temperature this month. Don't worry, there are still some very friendly days to enjoy before Thanksgiving
