Snowstorm Wrap-Up

Written By: Jonathan Myers

Our latest snowstorm has provided us with a monstrous range in snow totals. Final tallies generally range from 1"-3" of wintry mix in the Southern Tier, where warmer air made decent inroads during the storm on Sunday, to a general 6"-12" across the Lakeside Counties, where the cold air hung tough. The big winners, though, were folks in northern Wayne County where 16" of snow fell in Sodus and about 24" fell in Ontario! Happy shoveling!

  1. WOW is that because of the sleet changeover why we did not have a wide range

  2. Yup, that is correct, along with lack of Lake Ontario enhancement in the Southern Tier, and the placement of a drier slot within the storm over the Southern Tier.
