CAN'T MISS THE FROST TONIGHT!
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
It's the end for us. Well, quite possibly the growing season at least. We're seeing our first area-wide frost/freeze warning combo of the Fall season, an inescapable reality of the changing of the seasons.
An unseasonably cool airmass combined with relatively clear skies tonight will set us up with a healthy cooling scenario. Temperatures could dip as low as the upper 20s in the southern tier with low 30s likely a little closer to the shorelines. No matter how you look at it, it'll be an air that your body hasn't felt in some time to start Columbus Day.
Looking down the road, these types of cold mornings are likely to be the norm more than the exception, with plenty of time in the low 30s expected over the next several mornings.
