LESS LAKE RAIN LINGERS MONDAY
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
Lake Erie woke up earlier today and continued to bring showers southwest of Rochester most of the afternoon. The west winds will start to stifle a bit overnight and dwindle down into the 5-8 mph range for most of Monday. What this means is that the rainfall isn't likely to penetrate as far inland as it did most of today.
At the same time, the clouds still won't be going anywhere, with only a risk of a passing shower or two Monday afternoon.
Down the road, high pressure will squeeze in briefly Tuesday morning, helping supply a little sunshine with some clouds. But that will be a short lived event, as clouds race in late Tuesday, with rain scheduled to arrive into early Wednesday.
The next coming weather-maker is Wednesday, with winds expected to pick up to a decent clip. More to come...
