THE WINDS HAVE ARRIVED

Written by: Brian Neudorff

As Bob mentioned in the previous blog, all of Western New York is under a Wind Advisory into the late afternoon and early evening. Winds arrived with the passing of a cold front early Wednesday morning around 3:30am EDT. Then the wind really picked up across Rochester around 7am. Since then, sustain winds have been around 24 mph and gusts over 30 mph. This should continue into the afternoon and evening. With leaves on the trees, a good wind gust could cause a few limbs to come down but that should be the worst of this system.

This is similar to the wind we saw last week, but as Bob mentioned this event may be a little weaker than what we saw last Monday.
