STORM IMPACT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU ARE!

Models have been back and forth with location of the secondary low forming with this next storm that is passing to our south. Development over Long Island or over the continent would me more measurable snow for our southern friends late Monday and Tuesday, whereas a location further over the ocean will mean that most of the energy and moisture will bring lighter snows.
At this point, it's safe to say that you'll see a little something in the southern tier and Finger Lakes. Right now I'd say amounts on the order of 2-4" could stack up south, with nothing more than nuisance snow flurries to a light dusting for most of Monroe county and others along the lake shore. But once again, we'll add decent snow to areas well south of our area as we spectate on this continuing odd winter season.
It's sad when we're LOOKING for 2-4" as an "event" around these parts. Unfortunately, its the best we can offer at this point!
Very sad, very sad indeed. 2-4 inches in the Southern Tier and, of course, nothing for Rochester. There is a shocker. Worst winter I have ever seen. What a total waste of cold air.
ReplyDeleteBob, I do not understand why these storms are not tracking towards us this year. There is no high pressure North of us. The storms go as far as PA and then veer East.
