UPDATE ON STORM RISK TUESDAY

Written by: Brian Neudorff

Just wanted to update the blog post that Bob did this morning. It looks like our chance of getting thunderstorms has improved and because the Storm Prediction Center has put Western New York into a "Slight" risk of severe storms, any storms that do form will need to be monitored.

A warm front will lift out of the Ohio Valley and into Western New York Tuesday morning. We could see a few showers and storms form as this front passes through. Once the front passes it will slow to our north. With us in the warm sector and a little more moisture in the air more storms could pop up in the afternoon. We will have to watch these storms in case they start to show severe characteristics. The main threat will be strong gusty winds and some hail. We will keep you updated through the morning.
