GENERALLY BETTER WEATHER, WITH ONE HITCH
Written by: Bob Metcalfe
This is the day-3 severe thunderstorm outlook from the SPC... bringing us to Tuesday evening. Our weather will be much improved on Monday first and foremost, with a nice, big high pressure building in, although it will be a frosty start for most of the area. But riding on the back side of this high is a potent, compact little storm that could bring another round of thunderstorms to our area.
This outlook means that the pros at the SPC have confidence in this small feature. No doubt we'll see rain and some gusty winds from this, but again the prospects for severe weather for us just miss the area to the southwest. It's something worth eyeing over the coming days. Unfortunately, very moist and warm air are something we won't have to offer this approaching storm.
