An Early Gift from Mother Nature for Mom's

Written by John DiPasquale:

After a windy & cool Thursday with temperatures only managing to reach the mid 50s to around 60 under quite a few clouds & a spotty shower or two, we will be rewarded Friday & Saturday after a chilly night tonight.  A lot of sun will shine on Friday with readings rebounding back into the 60s, while on Saturday the sun will mix with more clouds, but it will turn warmer thanks to a warming breeze, as highs reach the low to mid 70s!

The timing of a weakening cold front will dictate the type of weather we see to end the weekend for Mother's Day.  At this time, it looks like it's going to inch through later Saturday night into the start of Sunday, which will probably lead a few widely scattered showers/drizzle to begin mom's day, but by enlarge it appears it will dry out & possibly clear somewhat for the afternoon.  So Mother's Day does not look great, but should not be too bad either with improvements expected for the afternoon.  Temperatures will cool off into the 60s to end the weekend.

The Saturday night/early Sunday cold front will likely play a big role in our weather for the first part of next week too.  If the front stalls close to the region Sunday/Sunday night, we will have to contend with more clouds & a few showers, but if it clears the area enough, then we should be pretty nice for the first part of the week.  Stay tuned everyone.

Have a nice day WNY!
