Summer for a Couple Days

Written by John DiPasquale:

Well, today is brighter & warmer than yesterday day's gray, frustrating Tuesday due to the stronger than expected inversion not allowing the much drier air aloft to mix out the stubborn low clouds.  There could be a few showers/storm late today, with an even better chance, 60 to 70%, of getting wet tonight, as a warm front moves through.  Behind the warm front, the summery feel will prevail Thursday & Friday with highs within a few degrees of 80, & fairly high levels of humidity.  With the increased heat & humidity & a weak trough/reinforcing shot of warmer air moving in later Thursday into Thursday night, I do believe there will be a few more pop up showers & storms during the aforementioned time frame.  There should be a good amount of dry time on Thursday, though.

On Friday, out ahead of a strong cold front there should be scattered showers & storms, a few of which could get nasty.  In the wake of the cold front, it will turn much cooler & should be mainly dry too for the weekend.  At this point, it appears a little sun will develop later Saturday on a cool north-northeast flow, & a lot of sun will most likely be with us to end the weekend!  Highs should drop back into the 60s for Saturday & Sunday, with lows bottoming out in the upper 30s & low 40s by sunrise Sunday.

Have a nice Wednesday all!
