Some Much Needed Rain Tuesday Night??

Written by John DiPasquale:

High pressure overhead today will give us more great weather today, but come tomorrow a warm front will drift in later in the day & provide more clouds later in the day & possibly a storm or two late, especially west.

Tuesday night into Wednesday, the 4th, morning could very well feature some needed showers & storms, a few of which could turn nasty with a disturbance and pre-frontal trough.  Right now, it looks like the worst of the weather Tuesday night will be north & east, but it's definitely something we'll have to watch closely over the next 24 to 36 hours.  After a few scattered showers & storms possible through early afternoon on the 4th, the bulk of Independence Day should be dry, which is great news for your outdoor plans.  It will also be hotter & become more humid Tuesday into Wednesday in the wake of a warm front Tuesday afternoon.  Highs will range from 85 to 90 tomorrow, & around 90 on the fourth.

A cold should punch through Wednesday with a shower/storm threat through much of the day, but late on the 4th into the evening the only fireworks going off should be provided by just us humans & not Mother Nature.

Thursday will be breezy & a bit cooler & less humid with lots of sun thanks to another high pressure system, which will protect us through Friday & possibly much of Saturday.  All the while, though, it will heat back up into the low 90s for the end of the week into the start of the weekend.  A strong cold front will try to approach & move by late Saturday & cool us off nicely for the tail end of the weekend.  Stay tuned to News 8 for the very latest throughout the week.

    1. You would not say that if you lived in wayne county.the fields are dry and the crops that were planted are stressing out in this heat and humid weather. We need rain and hope one of these so called experts can get the forecast right.I don't think they will with their track record but lets hope for a downpour.Either that or you will be paying alot more for local produce.
