Now that we are in the last week of September already, it's time to think about the end of the growing season in Western New York. Due to elevation and being well South of the large lakes, the Southern Tier and Southern Finger Lakes usually see a hard frost by the end of this week. It appears that the growing season may last a little longer than normal this fall. There may be some scattered frost Friday or Saturday morning South otherwise not much expect in the next 5-7 days.
In the Genesee Valley, sometime a hard frost doesn't occur until mid October!
