High & Dry...

Written by John DiPasquale:

After about a quarter to half inch of rain last night, & a touch of snow the weather looks very tranquil for the next several days.  Yes, it will not be the 60s & 70s we felt Sunday & Monday, but a fair amount of sun should shine thanks to a series of high pressure systems set to build in right through the weekend!  Beyond the weekend, we will be watching an area of low pressure developing near the coast early to mid week toward the biggest travel days of the year.  At this time, it does not look like it's going to be a big issue for us, but we will keep an eye on it.

Have a great day & enjoy the quiet weather over the next several days!

  3. Everyone needs to relax... Yes, it's probably not going to snow a lot for the next week but people, we cannot simply over-react to what the long range models are saying! There inaccurate at 5 days out, so lets just see look at trends more so than specifics. As of now, models have been TRENDING towards colder air working a little after Thanksgiving...

  6. Most years we watch the TV Mets show us the likely chances of having a white Christmas in our area. Meaning, as we approach Christmas we still have bare ground at the time. Are people anxious because of last winter? Or because we haven't had our first snow yet? I HIGHLY doubt our entire winter will be as lame as last year. We just have to wait, I'm afraid.
