Unsettled at Times this Weekend

Written by John DiPasquale:

After a murky, mild & damp at times Friday, Saturday should be mainly dry with early fog giving way to a mostly cloudy sky.  There could be a shower/storm or two late Saturday, but most, if not all, of the day should be dry.  Good news if you have plans to do some apple &/or pumpkin picking!  Saturday night into Sunday morning will probably feature some showers & storms with a warm front moving in & through.  Behind the warm front it will turn windy, warmer, muggier & mainly dry for Sunday afternoon.  Highs will go from around 70 today & Saturday, to around 80 or even a little higher with enough sun Sunday!

Later Sunday night into Monday morning we should feel the affects of a strong cold front with some rain & storms likely.  A few storms may be a little nasty too.  Monday afternoon should consist of gusty winds, much cooler air & possibly breaks of sun.  Temperatures on Monday will range from 65 to 70, & then 60s Tuesday & Wednesday with a lot of sun expected.  More sun & temperatures will probably warm into the 70s once again by Thursday & Friday thanks to a big high settling in.  Could it be another great stretch next week?!

  1. If enough moisture from Karen gets drawn up into the cold front then Sunday night/Monday could see more than just *some* rain.

  3. So much for it being in the 70's this weekend, hasn't been out of the low 60's all day and you might as well forget high 70's for sunday.Just don't understand why they waste people's time with incorrect weather informationThey can'nt forecast weather for today right but yet insist on doing a seven day forecast you know is going to be wrong.Scott Hetsko and Stacey Pensgen have to be two of the worst at their jobs but Marty Snyder just plain sucks.

And I don't understand why you waste your time consuming "incorrect weather information." Go buy a weather stone or something if you're that dissatisfied.

  7. Anyone who wants to complain about a single blown temperature forecast out of many should try living without any expert weather forecast for a month or two and see how they fare. Meteorology is a tough job, cut the experts some slack. Our atmosphere threw us an unforeseeable curveball today, as it often does. I think low 70s at least are a pretty safe bet for tomorrow with the warm front poised to move in, though I can't really see us getting near 80. The next couple of days should turn out more interesting than they looked earlier in the week.
